I am happy to write this letter of support for Candice Adams and highly recommend her for a position with your organization. She recently worked on a very challenging project for the City of Fort Worth. We hired her from June to October 2004 to be the copyeditor of the City Services Guide for the City of Fort Worth.

This is a large document that includes all of the external services provided by the City. We printed the first edition in 2002 and needed to update much of the information from more than 20 city departments. In addition, we turned the document into an electronic version so that city employees could search it easily and provide good customer service. Candice jumped right into this project and took the initiative to get it done, quickly and accurately. This is no small task. Candice knew very little about city government and city service. She quickly brought herself up to speed and began making great suggestions and changes to the document. I provided her little oversight because I immediately realized that I had hired someone with a strong work ethic and excellent writing and editing skills. Candice worked directly with city departments to make changed to the City Services Guide. We had two revisions from all the involved city departments and Candice made the tight deadlines and kept us moving on the project. The City Services Guide is a vital document to the City of Fort Worth. We have launched it on our internal Website so that city employees can use it and will soon be launching it on out external website so that the public will have access to this excellent source of information. Because of Candice’s outstanding work, I have the confidence to move this vital resource to the public. Candice has a positive attitude and was such an asset to our organization during her tenure with the department. We tired to convince her to stay! Candice would be an asset to any employer and I recommend her for any endeavor she chooses to pursue.
